Craigslist for Jobs

Given the sad state of the job market, as a business librarian (and one who has had lots of experience searching for   positions during my former business career), I’ve been conducting career workshops and assisting job seekerfor Arapahoe Library District in south Metro Denver.  Anyway, from time to time, job seekers comment or inquire about searching for jobs on Craigs List.

Recently, a patron was telling me about some of the interesting positions she has gotten via Craig List.  I finally decided to peruse some of Craigs List’s offerings.  In a minute or two, I found a part-time position at a new Einstein’s Bagel shop, a position at the University of Colorado, as well as a request for a Jewish egg donor.

Like everything else, we know about Craigs List, it seems to offer a full spectrum of items. So, buyer or job seeker beware.  as this patron today told me, there may find a lot of wierd stuff out there but you can find some good deals and opportunities.
