Here are a few tips:

  • Read business publications including the business section of the local or national newspapers to find out who is prospering, expanding or relocating to your area. Research those companies and identify key personnel to contact.
  • Find out which industries are on the uptick.  Industries involved with renewable energy, construction, healthcare are possibilities now and in the future.
  • Don’t overlook ,telling all your friends and neighbors you are looking.  You never know who may have a lead on a job.
  • It’s never easy looking for a job especially when you are unemployed. Try to treat it as a game or puzzle, set some attainable goals or benchmarks and see how successful you can be at reaching them.
